My Birthday
It's my Birthday today, but since I'm alone in Pafos I won't have a party. Instead, I had half a piece of nice chocolate cake for breakfast and I will eat the rest for lunch. Probably I will also have a nice dinner in the evening.

What to do in Paphos in your spare time
While I'm not on a holiday here in Paphos, I need to wake up earlier than I would like to. We have to take a bus to the course centre at 8.30, since it is a bit far away from our hotel - about 15 minutes' ride. Our lessons start at 9 a.m. and we finish at 2.00 p.m. So, after a bus ride back to our hotel we still have plenty of spare time before going to sleep.
Of course I need to eat, so the first thing after the work day is to find a nice restaurant to have a late lunch. After eating I'm too tired to do anything demanding, so it's a good time to go to the pool and have some sunbathing = read a book in the shade. After a couple of hours and some swimming in the pool, I'm refreshed enough for some sight-seeing by just walking around. Perhaps I find a nice gelateria :)
Starting the course
I arrived in Paphos already at Friday night, so I had almost two whole days for sight-seeing and sunbathing before the course started with a nice meze meal in the Mandra Tavern on Sunday evening.
On Monday morning we had to wake up too early and a warm green bus took us to the course centre at 8.30 a.m. So, we finally started studying Web 2.0 tools. Unfortunately I had lots of problems with the laptop and wasn't really able to do anything before 11 a.m. However, I managed to stay almost calm and finally everything went ok :) We made our own blogs and studied using different tools in blogger.com. Also, we learnt to use prezi.com and made wonderful presentations of our educational systems. I wrote down good instructions, so I should be able to use prezi with my students in the autumn.
